Take over when a sensitive or escalated conversation needs a person.

What a human reply does

  • Assigning the ticket to a person without replying does not stop an AI Agent by itself.
  • If the agent sent a normal reply and finished its work, a human reply stops that agent’s follow-up chain.
  • If the agent is waiting for customer information, a delay, or approval, a human reply prevents that work from resuming. The open pause also blocks a fresh AI Agent, so the human team owns the conversation while it remains open.
  • A hand-off to a human ends the current agent’s responsibility, but a later customer message can still be freshly matched.

Keep the ticket human-only

1

Reply to the customer

Assign the ticket to the right teammate or team and send the human reply.
2

Check the matching agents

Identify every AI Agent whose triggers could match the next customer message.
3

Narrow or disable the triggers

Remove this ticket scope from those agents, or disable them when the automation should stop entirely.
4

Test the next message

Send a representative follow-up in a test run and confirm that no AI Agent takes ownership.
