Keep spam out of open queues with layered filters: auto-resolve, auto-tagging, rules, contact blocking, and Gmail settings.

Detection paths

1

Turn on auto resolve for obvious noise

Configure OOO, marketing, and system notifications in general auto-resolve settings.
2

Add a Spam tag with a clear description

Tell auto-tagging to tag unsolicited outreach, phishing, and irrelevant automated mail — not real orders, invoices, or transactional mail.
3

Resolve tagged spam with a rule

When Tag is Spam, Then set status to Resolved.
4

Create a Spam review view

Filter by the Spam tag so the team can catch false positives and improve the tag description.

Mark a contact as spam

From a ticket, mark the contact as spam when the sender should never create tickets again. Open tickets from that contact close automatically. Manage the list under SettingsSpam.

Gmail spam

On a Gmail connection, enable Skip Gmail spam so messages already marked spam in Gmail do not become tickets. Leave it off if you still want those messages in Chatarmin CX.

Best practices

  • Review the Spam view regularly until tagging is trustworthy.
  • Prefer auto-tagging for messy outreach patterns; prefer rules for exact senders or fixed properties.
  • Do not use the open inbox as your spam analytics tool — use a dedicated view and the dashboard.
