Connecting Swiss Post to ArminCX

To enable Swiss Post shipment tracking in armincx, you need to connect your Swiss Post API credentials. This allows armincx to automatically fetch tracking updates and deliver them to your customers via WhatsApp.

The setup requires a Client ID and Client Secret from the Swiss Post Developer Portal. Follow the steps below to get them.


Step 1: Create a SwissID Account

Go to https://login.swissid.ch/login/registration/ and register a new SwissID account for your business.

💡 If your company already has a SwissID account, you can skip this step and log in directly.


Step 2: Create a New App Project

Once logged in to the Swiss Post Developer Portal:

  1. Navigate to My Projects or Apps

  2. Click "Create new project" / "New App"

  3. Give your project a recognizable name (e.g. armincx Tracking)


Step 3: Select the Tracking API

Within your new project, add the following API:

  • "Track Consignments" (recommended)

  • Alternatively: "Digital Commerce API" (if Track Consignments is not available for your account type)

Submit your API access request. Swiss Post may require a brief activation period before your credentials are issued.


Step 4: Copy Your Credentials

After activation, your project dashboard will display:

Description

Client ID

Your unique application identifier

Client Secret

Your private API key — treat this like a password

Copy both values — you will need them in the next step.


Step 5: Enter Your Credentials in armincx

  1. Go to your armincx dashboard → Settings → Integrations

  2. Select Swiss Post

  3. Paste your Client ID and Client Secret

  4. Click Save to activate the connection

armincx will now be able to pull live tracking data from Swiss Post and trigger automated shipping notifications for your customers.


Troubleshooting

I don't see my credentials after creating the app project

Activation by Swiss Post can take a short time after you submit your API request. Wait a few minutes and refresh the portal page.

The connection is not working after saving my credentials

  • Double-check that you selected the "Track Consignments" API (not a different Swiss Post API)

  • Make sure there are no extra spaces when copying Client ID and Secret

  • Verify that your Swiss Post app project is in active status in the portal
