# Email

> Forward support emails into Chatarmin CX and send replies from your address.

Email channels turn inbound support emails into tickets. Replies can be sent from your connected support address.

## Set up email

<Steps>
  <Step title="Add the email channel">
    Go to **Channels** -> **Email** and add your support address.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Configure receiving">
    Forward inbound emails to the generated Chatarmin CX forwarding address.

    ```text theme={null}
    <org_id>@chatarmin-mail.com
    ```

    The exact address appears inside the email channel settings.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Configure sending">
    Add the DNS records shown in the channel settings at your domain host.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose the AI agent">
    Open the channel's **AI** tab and select the AI agent that should draft or send replies.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## How it works

1. A customer emails your support address.
2. Your inbox forwards the email to Chatarmin CX.
3. Chatarmin CX creates or updates the customer ticket.
4. The selected AI agent drafts or sends a response depending on channel settings.

## Auto-reply behavior

<Tabs>
  <Tab title="Auto-reply on">
    The AI can send eligible replies automatically from your connected email address.
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Auto-reply off">
    The AI creates suggestions in the ticket. A human agent reviews and sends the reply.
  </Tab>
</Tabs>

## Gmail send-as aliases

If you connect Gmail, Chatarmin CX can turn verified **send-as** aliases into separate email channels on the same connection.

After you connect Gmail, a dialog may offer verified aliases to add right away. You can also add them later:

1. Open the Gmail connection in **Channels**.
2. Go to the **Sending** tab.
3. Add any listed alias, or dismiss aliases you do not need.

Each added alias becomes its own channel with the same signature, AI, and auto-reply settings as the primary mailbox. Replies sent from an alias use that address as the **From** field.

<Tip>
  If aliases do not appear, reconnect Gmail so Chatarmin CX can read your Google send-as settings.
